4 ripe bananas, sliced

1 package (12 oz) of vanilla wafers

1 ½ cups milk

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

½ cup creamy peanut butter

¼ cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon sea salt

Optional: crushed peanuts for garnish

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, instant pudding mix, and brown sugar over medium heat until it starts to thicken. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and sea salt until smooth. Let cool for about 10 minutes.

    In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter vanilla mixture until fully incorporated and fluffy.

      In a large trifle bowl or individual glasses, start layering. Begin with a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom, followed by a layer of banana slices.

        Spoon over a layer of the peanut butter pudding mixture, then repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding on top.

          Cover the pudding and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften.

            Before serving, garnish the top with crushed peanuts for added texture and crunch.
