8 mozzarella sticks

8 slices of bacon

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetable oil for frying

Prepare the Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Wrap the Mozzarella: Take each mozzarella stick and wrap one slice of bacon around it, making sure to cover it completely. Secure the edges with toothpicks if necessary.

      Set Up the Breading Station: In three separate bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, the beaten eggs in the second, and mix together panko breadcrumbs, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in the third bowl.

        Coat the Mozzarella Sticks: Dredge each bacon-wrapped mozzarella stick in flour, shaking off the excess. Next, dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally, coat it with the seasoned panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

          Fry the Sticks: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat, about 2 inches deep. Once hot, fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until the bacon is crispy and the cheese begins to ooze, about 3-4 minutes per side. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan.

            Keep Warm: As you fry each batch, place them on the prepared baking sheet in the oven to keep warm.

              Cool and Serve: Once all sticks are fried, remove toothpicks if used, and let them cool for a minute before serving to allow the cheese to set slightly.
